Get the beautiful smile you've always wanted. Invisalign® is the invisible way to straighten teeth using a series of custom-made, nearly undetectable aligners. And, it's been proven effective in both clinical research and in practices nationwide. So whether your teeth are crowded, too far apart or have shifted since wearing braces, you'll have a new reason to smile.
Q. How does Invisalign work?
A. Using the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, Invisalign translates your doctor's instructions into a series of nearly undetectable aligners. You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, moving your teeth gradually week by week, millimeter by millimeter, until you've achieved the desired result.
Q. Is Invisalign effective?
A. Thousands of doctors are treating patients with Invisalign. It works for a wide range of people whose teeth are too crowded or have spaces between them, as well as for those whose teeth may have shifted after having worn braces in their youth.
Q. How often will I have to wear my aligners?
A. Invisalign only works while you're wearing the aligners. It's recommended that you wear your aligners full-time, day and night, except to eat, brush, and floss your teeth - or as directed.
Q. How long does Invisalign take?
A. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of your case, which determines the number of aligners you need. However, the average is about 12 months, but only your doctor can determine the length of your treatment.
Q. How much does Invisalign cost?
A. As with traditional braces, the cost will be based on the complexity of your case and the length of treatment. Many doctors charge the same for Invisalign as they do for traditional braces. Also, if your dental insurance plan covers traditional braces, it will typically cover Invisalign to the same extent.
Q. How do I get started?

Our general dentists and oral surgeon work together with the apprehensive patient who requires full or partial dentures in combination with tooth removal. The general dentist will take all necessary impressions to fabricate the dentures before any or all teeth are removed. This avoids the embarassment or trauma of walking around without teeth.
The day the dentures are to be inserted, our staff oral surgeon does an intravenous sedation and removes all the teeth requiring extraction. When the patient awakes from their sedation, the dentures are inserted. For this reason, the patient never has to suffer the stigmatism of family and co-workers seeing them without teeth.
The immediate denture also acts as a "band-aid" to protect the surgical area. In four to six months, after the area has fully healed, a new permanent denture is fabricated. This ensures a more secure fitting denture.

To restore missing teeth, one of the typical solutions your dentist may offer is a metal and acrylic partial denture. While these restorations replace your missing teeth, they unfortunately have metal clasps that can be seen when you smile. Visible metal is unsightly and unnatural in an otherwise beautiful smile.

Valplast is an advanced solution for the replacement of missing teeth. It is based on modern thermoplastic technologies. Unlike metal, Valplast blends naturally with your teeth and gums, enhanching the appeal of your smile.

Valplast was developed specifically to provide the precision fit and strength needed for the fabrication of metal-free partial dentures. In addition, Valplast has a gentle feel and a more secure fit.

Valplast exhibits 26% greater softness than the acrylics used on typical metal partials. Valplast is more comfortable than these typical acrylics, and in fact, it's even 65% stronger.

Are Periodontal bacteria destroying your gums?
Consider your gums as a living foundation for your teeth. So important is this foundation, that without healthy gum structure, your teeth will become unstable and at risk of tooth loss.
The Diagnosis of Gum Disease
Your dentist has discovered that you suffer from a chronic bacterial infection also known as periodontal disease (gum disease).
The Cause of Gum Disease
Periodontal disease is the leading cause of adult tooth loss in the United States. Periodontal disease is formed when harmful bacteria are lodged beneath the gum line, creating pockets or gaps between your gums and teeth. These pockets become infected and over time can destroy bone, teeth, and gum foundation.
If you have been diagnosed with gum disease, there is hope. There are treatments that can help reduce further damage to your gums and teeth. Your dentist or periodontist can provide several treatments to reduce infection-causing bacteria and halt further spreading, and diminish the size of periodontal pockets that encourage growth of bacteria.
Treating Gum Disease
The approved method for treating periodontal disease is a procedure known as SRP. SRP is a non-surgical procedure where scaling removes plaque, tartar from the teeth. Root planning then smoothes away the rough areas at the root of the tooth–eliminating bacteria build up. Your dentist may also use approved oral solutions to stop harmful enzymes that cause teeth and gum decay.

The role of your dental healthcare team
The good news is that there are effective treatments available for periodontal disease. Your dental healthcare team-which typically includes your dentist, your hygienist, and sometimes your periodontist-chooses the most effective method of treatment for your infection and is dedicated to helping you fight periodontal disease.
The treatment your dental healthcare team selects is designed to:
Treatment with scaling and root planing (SRP)
To treat periodontal disease, dental professionals use a common deep-cleaning procedure known as SRP.
SRP is an effective way to remove the bacteria that form plaque and cause infection.
Give your gums a fighting chance
Even though SRP removes a great deal of the bacteria that cause periodontal infection, the instruments used during this mechanical procedure can't always reach the bacteria that hide in the bottom of pockets or in difficult-to-reach areas.
That's why a dental healthcare team often decides to add a locally administered antibiotic (LAA) such as ARESTIN®.
Adding ARESTlN® (minocycline hydrochloride) Microspheres, 1 mg
ARESTIN® is a small amount of antibiotic powder that is easily applied by a dental professional.
