Q
. How does Invisalign work?
A. Using the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, Invisalign translates your doctor's instructions into a series of nearly undetectable aligners. You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, moving your teeth gradually week by week, millimeter by millimeter, until you've achieved the desired result.

Q. Is Invisalign effective?
A. Thousands of doctors are treating patients with Invisalign. It works for a wide range of people whose teeth are too crowded or have spaces between them, as well as for those whose teeth may have shifted after having worn braces in their youth.

Q. How often will I have to wear my aligners?
A. Invisalign only works while you're wearing the aligners. It's recommended that you wear your aligners full-time, day and night, except to eat, brush, and floss your teeth - or as directed.

Q. How long does Invisalign take?
A. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of your case, which determines the number of aligners you need. However, the average is about 12 months, but only your doctor can determine the length of your treatment.

Q. How much does Invisalign cost?
A. As with traditional braces, the cost will be based on the complexity of your case and the length of treatment. Many doctors charge the same for Invisalign as they do for traditional braces. Also, if your dental insurance plan covers traditional braces, it will typically cover Invisalign to the same extent.

Q. How do I get started?
A. Please call for a complimentary consultation today..

and to support a full or partial denture. Hundreds of thousands of people
all over the world are using MIS dental implants to perfect their smile
and restore their confidence. Your dentist can help you determine if implants
are the right choice for you.

Benefits Of Implants

  • Aesthetic
  • Permanent and Reliable
  • More Comfortable
  • Help To Maintain Healthy Jaw
  • Save Currently Healthy Teeth
  • Economical

How Would You Like New Teeth That Are Permanent, Reliable, And Economical?

With MIS Implants each implant will last a lifetime so you can avoid the inconveniences
of dentures, partials and bridges

Dental Implants are often no more expensive than the alternative treatments. When you consider the time spent to adjust dentures or the damage done to the neighboring teeth by bridges, you will find that implants give the best value and are the healthiest restoration procedures.

1. Replacing A Single Tooth

If you need to replace just one tooth, an implant may be a more effective alternative to traditional bridge work. A standard bridge cuts down both neighboring teeth to support the new bridge. With ongoing bone loss under the bridge the supporting teeth eventually become loose and fall. Alternatively, a dental implant replaces only the missing tooth while preserving bone, giving longer, healthier life to the neighboring teeth.

2. Replacing Three Teeth With a Fixed Partial Denture

Multiple dental implants support a partial or full denture eliminating the need for adhesives or metal clasps which can be uncomfortable. Additionally, implants help to keep your jaw healthy and thus maintain your current facial appearance in the long term.

3. Full Denture Supported By Ball Attachment Insert

Dental implants are the most effective way to support a full set of dentures. Poorly fitting dentures affect your eating as well as your speech and appearance. You can finally eat, laugh, and smile with confidence at any situation. The denture will be attached to the implants to prevent the need for relining and to improve the comfort and durability of the denture.

4. Full Denture Supported By Dolder Bar Insert

Another possibility of restoring a full edentulous with four implants. The restoration is achieved with a "Dolder bar" connection which is also ejectable, enabling you to maintain effective oral hygiene.

What Will Happen?

Millions of dental implants are placed every year worldwide. They have become the most successful prosthetic device and are improving the lives of people every day. The procedure can be done in your own dentist's office, or with one of their colleagues. A careful diet and avoidance of strenuous activity is required for only a few days, after which most patients can return to normal activities. Once the implants have bonded securely, the permanent crown or denture can be attached. After that, you can return to your normal tooth care such as brushing, flossing, and regular checkups. With correct care your implants will last for life.

Guide

ImplantsWhy Dental Implants?

We all feel that our teeth are important. But, when your smile begins to affect your quality of life, the health, function and appearance of your teeth takes on a whole new meaning
Nobody needs to endure unhealthy or missing teeth, or the embarrassment of slipping dentures. Now, with dental implants, your dentist can restore your missing teeth without grinding down adjacent teeth (crown & bridge) or employee traditional dentures ( ridge supported and retained).

Implant Procedure
How Do Dental Implants Work?

Dental implants act as artificial roots, they are surgically placed into your jaw, and are the closest substitute to natural teeth in form and function. Once a dental implant is firmly integrated into your jaw, it can be used to support single crowns, bridges and dentures. Whether you are missing one tooth, several teeth or all of your teeth, dental implants may be an option for you.

What Is The Implant Procedure?

AbutmentBased on your indications, dental implants are placed in one or two stages. In a Single-Stage procedure, the implant site is precisely prepared and the implant is inserted into the jawbone with the top of the implant extending through the gums.
In a Two-Stage procedure, the implant site is precisely prepared and the implant is inserted into the jaw, and the implant is completely covered by the gums.
Depending on your treatment plan and indications, implants can be restored immediately (Single-Stage) or after a pre-determined healing period (Two-Stage).
The next phase includes impressions of your implant, soft tissue contouring, custom fabrication of the crown, and attachment of the crown to the implant.

How Do I Care For My Dental Implants?

Caring for dental implants is the same as caring for natural teeth. Simply follow the oral hygiene basics, which include brushing, flossing and regular dental check-ups. Your dentist or your hygienist will show you how to keep your new teeth clean.

Are Dental Implants Right For Me?

Simply ask your dentist. After a thorough exam and dental x-rays, your dentist can help you determine if dental implants are right for you.
If you and your dentist determine dental implants are right for you, ask for FRIADENT Dental Implants, the most complete dental implant system available.

Our general dentists and oral surgeon work together with the apprehensive patient who requires full or partial dentures in combination with tooth removal. The general dentist will take all necessary impressions to fabricate the dentures before any or all teeth are removed. This avoids the embarassment or trauma of walking around without teeth.

The day the dentures are to be inserted, our staff oral surgeon does an intravenous sedation and removes all the teeth requiring extraction. When the patient awakes from their sedation, the dentures are inserted. For this reason, the patient never has to suffer the stigmatism of family and co-workers seeing them without teeth.

The immediate denture also acts as a "band-aid" to protect the surgical area. In four to six months, after the area has fully healed, a new permanent denture is fabricated. This ensures a more secure fitting denture.

BioTemps provisionals allow you and your dentist to preview the shape and color of your final crowns or bridge before they are even made. BioTemps make your smile look better than ever. They are so natural-looking that only you and your dentist will know they are temporaries!

Once your BioTemps are in place and you approve of the esthetics, an impression or mold will be taken. The laboratory will use this mold as a "blueprint," or guide, to duplicate the look of your BioTemps in your final restoration.

Just imagine, you can have the smile you have always wanted on your very next appointment! The results are immediate and completely natural looking. In addition to great looks, BioTemps feel like natural teeth in you mouth!

Don't let an unattractive or unhealthy smile hide the real you, tell your dentist that you are ready to "test drive" your new smile with BioTemps.

    Planning Your New Smile
Your dentist will carefully examine the current condition of your teeth and help you select the color, shape, and length that re just right for you. You may also be advised about bleaching your teeth prior to veneer treatment.

    Preparing Your New Smile
Your dentist will gently remove a small amount of enamel (approximately one millimeter) to make room for thin porcelain veneers. Impression are taken of your teeth, and temporaries are fabricated if necessary.

    Making Your New Veneers
Your impressions are poured in stone to replicate our mouth. Your veneers are then characterized to match your prescribed shape and shade.

    Finishing Your New Smile
On the final appointment, the porcelain veneers are bonded into place using a light curing composite. This procedure ensures that the veneers will remain firmly attached to your teeth. Finally, your veneers are polished and your new smile is complete.

To restore missing teeth, one of the typical solutions your dentist may offer is a metal and acrylic partial denture. While these restorations replace your missing teeth, they unfortunately have metal clasps that can be seen when you smile. Visible metal is unsightly and unnatural in an otherwise beautiful smile.

Valplast is an advanced solution for the replacement of missing teeth. It is based on modern thermoplastic technologies. Unlike metal, Valplast blends naturally with your teeth and gums, enhanching the appeal of your smile.

Valplast was developed specifically to provide the precision fit and strength needed for the fabrication of metal-free partial dentures. In addition, Valplast has a gentle feel and a more secure fit.

Valplast exhibits 26% greater softness than the acrylics used on typical metal partials. Valplast is more comfortable than these typical acrylics, and in fact, it's even 65% stronger.

Are Periodontal bacteria destroying your gums?

Consider your gums as a living foundation for your teeth. So important is this foundation, that without healthy gum structure, your teeth will become unstable and at risk of tooth loss.

    The Diagnosis of Gum Disease

Your dentist has discovered that you suffer from a chronic bacterial infection also known as periodontal disease (gum disease).

    The Cause of Gum Disease

Periodontal disease is the leading cause of adult tooth loss in the United States. Periodontal disease is formed when harmful bacteria are lodged beneath the gum line, creating pockets or gaps between your gums and teeth. These pockets become infected and over time can destroy bone, teeth, and gum foundation.

If you have been diagnosed with gum disease, there is hope. There are treatments that can help reduce further damage to your gums and teeth. Your dentist or periodontist can provide several treatments to reduce infection-causing bacteria and halt further spreading, and diminish the size of periodontal pockets that encourage growth of bacteria.

    Treating Gum Disease

The approved method for treating periodontal disease is a procedure known as SRP. SRP is a non-surgical procedure where scaling removes plaque, tartar from the teeth. Root planning then smoothes away the rough areas at the root of the tooth–eliminating bacteria build up. Your dentist may also use approved oral solutions to stop harmful enzymes that cause teeth and gum decay.

The role of your dental healthcare team
The good news is that there are effective treatments available for periodontal disease. Your dental healthcare team-which typically includes your dentist, your hygienist, and sometimes your periodontist-chooses the most effective method of treatment for your infection and is dedicated to helping you fight periodontal disease.

The treatment your dental healthcare team selects is designed to:

    • Reduce the bacteria causing your infection
    • Shrink the size of your periodontal pockets
    • Manage your infection to stop it from spreading or becoming more severe

Treatment with scaling and root planing (SRP)
To treat periodontal disease, dental professionals use a common deep-cleaning procedure known as SRP.

    • Scaling removes plaque, tartar, and stains from the surface of teeth
    • Planing smoothes the rough areas on the roots of teeth to promote healing

SRP is an effective way to remove the bacteria that form plaque and cause infection.

Give your gums a fighting chance
Even though SRP removes a great deal of the bacteria that cause periodontal infection, the instruments used during this mechanical procedure can't always reach the bacteria that hide in the bottom of pockets or in difficult-to-reach areas.

That's why a dental healthcare team often decides to add a locally administered antibiotic (LAA) such as ARESTIN®.

Adding ARESTlN® (minocycline hydrochloride) Microspheres, 1 mg
ARESTIN® is a small amount of antibiotic powder that is easily applied by a dental professional.

    • Clinical studies show that ARESTIN® + SRP is more effective at shrinking the size of infected periodontal pockets than SRP alone
    • ARESTIN® remains in the pocket for at least 14 days-to help ensure continued treatment
    • ARESTIN® is safe and easy for your dental professional to administer

6 tips to remember after treatment with ARESTIN®
To help make sure you get the maximum results from your treatment, you should follow a few simple steps . after your treatment with ARESTIN®.

    • Don't touch. Avoid touching areas of your gums that your dentist has treated.
    • Wait to brush. Wait 12 hours after your treatment with ARESTIN® before brushing your teeth.
    • Wait to floss. Do not floss or use toothpicks or any other devices that clean between your teeth for at least 10 days.
    • Avoid eating hard, crunchy, or sticky foods for 1 week after treatment.
    • Always follow up. Because the bacteria that cause periodontal disease are persistent, the infection can return. please be sure to make follow-up appointments with your dental professional to maintain healthy gums and teeth.
    • Keep your scheduled appointments. It is important to keep all of your dental appointments so that your dental professional can re-examine your gums, make sure the infection is under control, and measure the success of your treatment.

Harmful Bacteria Have Infected Your Gums
How ARESTIN® can help treat the infection - and tips for getting the best results

Periodontal bacteria have been infecting your foundation
Your gums are an important foundation for your teeth and provide stability for all of your dental work-so it's important to keep them healthy. However, your dental professional identified a chronic bacterial infection in your gums known as periodontal disease (gum disease).

    Important fads about periodontal disease

    • Periodontal disease is the #1 cause of adult tooth loss in the United States.
    • This silent infection occurs when harmful bacteria travel beneath the gum line and create "pockets"-spaces or gaps in the gums around the teeth.
    • If left untreated, periodontal bacteria can lead to bone and tooth loss that threatens your foundation. Infected periodontal pockets are usually 4 or more millimeters (mm) in depth.

    Infected areas in your gums
One or more infected pockets inside your gums have been identified. These infected areas require treatment before periodontal disease causes further damage.
